How do I become a Grabbd City Expert? Expand

City Experts are promoted on the app as your go-to source of information and have been recognised for well-written reviews, high quality tips, and a history of lists that have been loved by the community. In exchange for leaving valuable tips for the community, they get rewarded on a monthly basis.

If you have exceptional content creation skills, are somewhat of a self-professed foodie or adventurer and are keen to grow and boost your social media presence, then this programme is for you! Applications are open to anybody who thinks they can add value and act as their resident city maestro.

Here’s a step-by-step of how it works:

Create an account on Grabbd. You’ll also need to upload a clear picture and bio. (Don’t be afraid to get creative!)
Spend some time getting to grips with the app and create at least 1 quality list (10+ venues with pictures & notes or posts).
Go to your profile settings, click on ‘Become a city expert’ and register your interest through the form.
If you are not an existing users and would like to get in touch first, simply use this link to fill out an application & provide your contact information.
The Grabbd team will get in touch with you and get you started!
You’ll be added onto the necessary groups and be provided with all the essential guidance and materials to inspire you along the way.
That’s a wrap! You’re officially a Grabbd expert and will be able to start sharing more lists right away.

How can I grabb my favourite places from Instagram? Expand

Bringing places from Instagram to Grabbd has never been easier! All your favourite locations can be easily shared, along with the pictrues and easily added to your Grabbd lists.

Follow those simple steps:

Open Instagram and find a place you would like to save on Grabbd.
Check for the location and ensure the place has a geotag (this usually appears under the account name who created the post).
Find the 3 small dots on the top right corner of the post and tap
Click on ‘Share’ and scroll to find the quick action ‘Grabbd this place’.
You’ll be able to add this place to your Grabbd list directly.
Done! You’ll be able to see this venue in your Grabbs and lists!

How do I add a new location on the app? Expand

We take pride in our ability to pull in hundreds of thousands of locations for you to discover on Grabbd. However, if a location has slipped through the net, we’ve made it super easy for you to add it yourself. Simply follow the steps below:

Click on ‘Search’.
Ensure that your ‘Search’ page is set to your city and type in the location you’re trying to add onto the app.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you’ll see a button towards the bottom which prompts you to add the new location.
You’ll have the option to add the location manually or find it on Google. Simply follow the steps and input the information required.
Voila! You’re now free to add the new location to your lists and share it with your peers.

How do I add collaborators to a list? Expand

We encourage all forms of collaboration at Grabbd and want to make it easy for you to share lists with your community.

To enable collaborators, there’s a couple of ways you can do this. When creating a new list, you’ll be asked to provide a name, description and are given an option to invite friends and Grabbd users to collaborate on them. However, if you want to add a collaborator to an existing list, follow these steps:

Click on the list you want to add collaborator(s) to.
Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner.
Click on ‘Add collaborator’
You’ll be given the option to invite friends to collaborate.
Search for friends and add them to your list!
They will get notified immediately and will be able to collaborate with you upon accepting your request.

How do I share a location or list with another user? Expand

Some locations and lists are just too good not to share. That’s why we made sure it only takes a few steps to do so. To share a location, all you need to do is search for the location/list, click on the share icon on the right hand corner of the screen and choose who you’d like to share the location with.

Can I change my Grabbd handle? Expand

Who doesn’t want to reinvent themselves every once in a while? We sure do - that’s why it’s super simple to change your Grabbd handle. All you have to do is follow these steps:

Click on your ‘Profile’.
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner.
Click ‘Edit Profile’.
Change your Grabbd handle to whatever you like (as long as it’s available).

How do I delete my account? Expand

We doubt that you’ll ever want to delete Grabbd but if, for whatever reason, you need to delete your account, all you have to do is:

Click on your ‘Profile’.
Click on the menu icon in the top right corner.
Click on ‘Privacy & Data’.
Click on ‘Manage Account’.
You’ll have the option to either disable your account which hides your profile and lists on the app or delete your account. If you’d prefer to to just take a break, we’d recommend you clicking on ‘Disable’ but if you want to permanently delete your account simply click ‘Delete’.

Please keep in mind that once you have deleted your account, there is no other way to retrieve it, as well as any lists you’ve created.

How do I claim my business on Grabbd? Expand

If you are a business owner and would like to claim your page on Grabbd, you can do so in a few steps:

Login to Grabbd through your normal user profile.
Search for your venue using the ‘Search’ tab. Make sure that you are set in the right location.
Go straight to your venue page and click on ‘Want to suggest an edit?’. It is usually located under the social links.
Click on ‘Claim this business’.
FIll in the form with your name, contact information and submit the request.
The Grabbd team will get in touch to verify your information and get you onboarded as a business!
